Nirvana Ultra Big Bear 100

Do you like to run? We sure do! So much so that we’re sending David out for a full 24 hour run!
On May 2, 2015, David will be attempting to run 100 miles for Team: Overwatch at the Nirvana Ultra Big Bear. His goal is to raise $3,000 and YOU, personally, can help out by pledging to donate anywhere from 25 cents to a dollar for every mile to be completed. David is hoping to at least hit 100 miles before the night is over and, as someone who is dedicated to boosting aid and awareness for wounded warriors in need via incredible feats of athleticism, he certainly means to deliver!
So who is David and what is Team: Overwatch?
David is the founder and CEO of Team: Overwatch, an official 501(c)(3) status (EIN# 47-1438097) non-profit dedicated to raising funds and awareness for our nation's wounded warriors. He’s an avid runner and has completed five marathons to date, with a personal record time of 3:53:33. After initially joining the Navy after high school and spending 4 years as a Gunner’s Mate, David decided to the make the Navy a career and cross-rate into EOD, where he is now a Master EOD technician with 15 years of service under his belt. He is currently serving as an instructor with TEU 1, where he teaches nuclear hazards, and is excited to be announcing this event as T:O lead fundraising opportunity for 2015!
Be it via a bay swim or a bomb suit run, our goal is to give back to a community whose members have given their all in support of our country. Each year, Team: Overwatch identifies and selects a different veteran organization to help and support. This year, we will be raising money for the Fisher House Foundation, best known for their network of comfort homes for military and veterans’ families whose loved ones are receiving critical medical treatment. You, personally, can get involved by donating to our cause, coming to our event, or by helping us get our name out there!
